The South Island

Highlight of trip: another 'things i must do before i die' struck off the list.

This was the jurassic style park i was telling the boyfriend about. You drive in with your car, purchase a bucket of animal feed and drive up the mountain feeding, occasionally stepping out of your car to hand feed or touch. The animals are pretty much wild. So sometimes it gets quite intimidating to have so many surround you. You run back to the car.

The wild animals come running down as you rattle the feed bucket. One of the goats kept nudging me with his hard horn.

Such a pretty deer.
This is totally candid. i look retarded.

Brokeback mountain. Hahaa.they weren't really holding hands (another illusion trick), unlike Siping and Valerie who really held hands before the helicopter ride.

The black sheep was exceptionally cute.

Basically its just a lot of scenery on this trip. After 12 days, you are no longer interested in rocks, mountains and lakes. The first trip to NZ 4 years ago was still better i feel. But its only because i'm a adrenaline junkie. And on that first trip, we did all the extreme sports. Quad biking, white water rafting, bungee jumping (me) and that is plentiful. This time round, it was only sky diving for me. We didn't repeat them this time round as we've all experienced it already and its just too expensive for the entire family to redo.

Spoiler.

This was the best busker i've seen so far. We ended up giving him $20 for his performance. Here he has a rubbery string through his mouth and out his nose.

On the trampoline.

Possums and rabbits always end up being roadkill. So some people pick them and use their fur. We bought 2 possum tails for a dollar each. Just for fun.

It was a long wait to get on the plane to sky dive. Luckily Ivan taught me chess.

The museum of puzzles and illusions was fun.

His version.

My version.

The roman styled toilet in the olden days.

This one of the illusion techniques used in Lord of the Rings for the hobbits. It was actually a sloped room. But it looks straight to you.

Extremely interesting experiment to test psychics. So far, no one succeeded. 6 have tried.

I like the following pictures. Very artistic and shows off the scenery.

While my brothers do their Bruce Lee to swat off the cotton flying around from the plants.

My dad uses every chance he gets to practise his tai ji.

The Luge. Where u roll off the hill in this thing.

We actually trek up this STEEP mountain for 1 hour (no steps. all rocks) to play the Luge. Did all that just to save the $20 cable car ride that takes you up the mountain. $20 x 4 = $80 savings!

Along the way, some one used acrons to do this. I think its hello in Maori.

I rearranged it to do this. Make the trip up spookier for other people. Like Blair Witch. I should have done "turn back NOW" instead.

You see amazing scenery everywhere in NZ. Even in the unexpected places. Like this magnificent mountain range right next to the shopping center.

This was the result of going 140Km/hr. Bug juice all over the windscreen. Couldn't help it you know, its 6-7 hours drive. I just want to get there asap.

I transited in Melbourne on my way to NZ. And so i brought a little Aussie into NZ. This is the picturesque scenery outside our balcony in Queenstown.

Thumbelina.
Its even bigger than him. Guess if its real or fake?

Botanic Gardens in Christchurch.

We posed to be superheros (as i was wearing my superman tee underneath) under the sorta Justice league statue.

Very 'oveaseas'. Dining by the sidewalk. This was on Christmas Day. Took us quite awhile to find something open. It was so dead. The zoo was closed, even Macdonalds!

My dad looks like the kid here.

I look like Goofy here.

If he wasn't my brother, he looks like he's peeving.

I finally did it.

Inspired by Jeepers Creepers.

Our incredible swift and good AND handsome personal ice climbing guide. See the mountain beside it? The cliff IS that steep and high.

That's me. Ok, i admit i'm chicken. I don't like slow thrills. It is uber scary. I do not trust the ice tools. It was very exhausting but it was good exercise. (then again not, because we ate a big meal after that)

We actually trek (really chong sua type) 3 hours to get to the glaciers. NS men chong sua for free (and even get paid). We pay to chong sua.

We drink the glacier's water. Ivan even ate its ice! But we didn't rub the mud on our face, supposedly to be good.

Dear Shyanne,
Please do not ask me go shopping when i get back. Because i've been crazily spending in my last days here. Its been 50% or more on EVERYTHING in the shops here. And i've got dresses to match your Sarah Jessica Parker one. I'm sure we'll make heads turn ;P

I hope i'm not making you jealous, because i now have a painful process of packing and making sure i don't go overweight (i'm sure my brothers will respond 'eat less' to this).

Jingle Bells, Batman Smells

Suddenly after all my purchases, i wonder if Singapore will take to my sense of fashion. As always, i don't stick to safe purchases. I don't want to be a common Barbie doll. I want to be Suzy, the other barbie doll.

This is crazy, i am going on a shopping frenzy. But i MIGHT plunge right into the work force when i get back, so this is justified, no? Ha ha. Because that will then mean no shopping, no tanning for a long long while. I actually have tonnes of clothes to bring home already. But i'm still buying more. To Suzy, there's always luggage space.

As i turned a year older, i'm throwing all my caption tees. Not the old school ones like Little Miss Naughty, Cookie Monster, Super Mario, but those that says Sucksessful, I only Look Innocent and Be Naughty but never be Bad. Also as i am a year older, i'm buying skirts that go further down my thighs. Ha ha.Oh no, this change is when i'm only 22! What comes when i'm 23?

Nah, the only major change are the caption tees. Because i am beginning to feel they're abit tacky for my age. Funny though, my elder brother loves caption tees till now. But my younger brother absolutely loathes them. Ha ha ha.

Maxi dresses are 'in' now (long flowy dress, the sexy top balances it out so you wont look frumpy). So i've got quite a couple of them, lovely lovely lovely! I also bought vintage shoes, an oversized clutch (as is the trend in Hollywood now), gorgeous accessories that were $1.20 and a wooden bag (inspired by Paris, the country).

Maybe this is my way of curbing depression of leaving this home i've grown to love. Or maybe the only way for a man to propose to me is not with a ring, but a mansion WITH a walk-in wardrobe. And oh yes, Suzy simply do not exist.

I'll see you after New Zealand.

You know the game the roller girl serving burgers in a diner? i feel exactly that.

You know Wild Things? I feel exactly that. Maybe only the hair.

You'll never like Sentosa again

This was my first time spending more than 10 minutes at the beach in my entire span of 1.5 years here. The bf never had time to take me, and i was always with him. Summer's officially here! But its still cold. Very weird.

Lawrence told me this was a towel.

This dog...very funny..likes to go into people's crotch and start digging. Then its head will vibrate against you. I'm wondering if it washed its hair. Lawrence said it likes to do that because it's warm against your body. He's digging...

Then he sits.
Can't sit for long.

You can't tell where's the head and where's the bottom. Just a ball of fur. It's actually a puppy. Very funny you know, this dog is reared by an Asian and hangs out with alot of asians. We have another dog by another friend, same case. This 2 dogs, everytime they see westerner, they will bark like siao. But not at Asians. Do they really know?

But the ang moh reared dogs don't bark at Asians lah. The ang moh dogs are all very well behaved. Professionally trained. But the other dog, my friend told us he purposely train his dog to bark at ang mohs. Coz he (the friend) don't like ang mohs. Hahahahaa.

I look spastic lah. Don't know what i was doing also.

My first work place when i came to Perth. They give me face leh, when i went there for dinner. Never charge us for rice and tea. Hahahaa.

My Sunday breakfast before going to church. Grilled tomato complete with sprinkle of herbs, scrambled eggs, buttered mushrooms and fruit toast. I love my life here. If the boyfriend is here, he will have additional harshbrowns, bacon and sausages. Does Singapore even have fresh mushrooms? How come she always cook with dried mushrooms one?

Its OVER!

Don't you think Eugene looks like some HK actor? Tony Leung or something, got one of his old movies he wear this specs too. Or maybe some director. But he definitely look like one of them lah.

And i'm officially a degree holder! Provided i don't fail. Hahaha. Had my last paper, and its straight away to some partying! Dinner and movie first.

Then hop over to another group for pre-drinks at one of their house and then later club hopping. This is my house mate who invited me to join her friends.

Don't need to envy, he's not straight. Haha

WHere did the guy in white come from!

Nah...he's real. They actually had heaps of drinks, but i didn't have a sip. Not all all. I never liked alcohol. Thankfully, i managed to evade all the "come girl, drink drink. You must drink. Don't give face ar!" Managed to evade mainly also cause i made myself to be a wall flower and just observe the things happening around. The Indians are a really funny bunch of people. They're the dress well, smart, rich and smell nice sort. Haha.

Very artistic.
Made new friends.

And then we hired some maxi cab to take us into the city. This is only half of the group. Contrary to popular beliefs, i am not a party girl. So this is my first time actually clubbing in Perth. And i was the only non-intoxicated one the whole night.

And so i danced, fended off strangers and painted the town red.

To wake up with a HUGE PAINFUL PIMPLE! Late nights and me don't go very well. So i decided to have tuna salad. Wanted to add mango, but decided not too since its heaty.

And this was another farewell dinner from my work place. When i first met her, thought she was an SPG. but she's actually nice, friendly and very witty. But she admits she's quite a bit of a slut. hahahaa...funny girl

We had this dinner in honour of our supervisor, the man in blue. Leaving here, going on to a new chapter in life, hopefully. His marriage recently fell apart with his asian wife. And i got to agree all the characteristics of being chinese is existent in his wife. And so, i learn 'never hold a man back from his dreams. otherwise he will blame you in future of your relationship' and 'never put your husband down, even though he really is wrong'. Tactfulness is still needed even though you know the person really well. but all in all, there is alot more going in between this couple lah. Not saying the guy doesn't have fault too. But well, shouldn't say too much here. People's privacy.

And Kara! She's pretty actually, just don't photograph well. And she's coming Singapore!
