We had the Chef's Experience where the Chef (duh!) comes out to chat with us a little, create first impressions, ask our likes and dislikes and creates a 6 course experience.
Everything was delicately prepared and what i love best is the interactivity and creativity of the food. There's a blueberry cheesecake (which i did not have) where blueberries, cheese and biscuit is served seperately on a platter and you mix it up yourself to have your cake.
We had a variety of appetisers, caviar, scallops and i can't-remember. Main course was this 3 month baby lamb that was so tender it melts in your mouth. With chocolate cum sweet corn sauce garnished with POP CORN! Sounds funky huh. Funny why he said it's not worth a frog to sacrifice for frog leg porridge/stir fry, but he can eat a 3 MONTH BABY lamb!
Maybe coz 2 frogs=1 mouth, 1 baby lamb= 4 mouths so the sacrifice of the lamb is more worthwhile.
To finish off, they present us this blosom tree that the soil is made of cocoa grinds, white chocolate leaves and candy floss blosoms. Except its not really candy floss. Lighter, less sweet, taste yogurty.
I was eyeing the other table the whole night because they had this. And i got my own!! It's dessert. It's an Ostrich egg! The yolk tastes peachy, the whites is sorbet balanced on yogurt. You break the yolk so the sweet mixes with the sour sorbet.
I look nice here but he doesn't. So i'm mosiac-ing him. Hahahahaha! Shouldn't waste a nice picture, no?
We went to check out Zicra after that. I tried using my MOS membership to get in free but failed. Then i dropped names like Lifebrandz manager- Failed. Then Lifebrandz VP- failed. THEN i said He's FROM THE MEDIA. The door bitch went, " Oh! Why didn't you say so!"
And we got our stamps, went in, but wasn't impressed with the revamp. I'll stick to ZOuk Mambo.
