Day One

Mum and Ivan have arrived!! With a whole load of my junk. hahaa..mum cooked just vegetables and mushrooms for lunch today..Somehow it taste sooo goood

Reuse, Recycle, Resource.

Ta-dah!

Happy Birthday, Dad. In advance, cause the next few days, we wouldnt be home. Hahhaa..

The work of a mass commer. You just got to be patient and understand the weird antics of one. They always turn out very good. Just like what i do, isnt it?

I like this meal the best, although abit indulgent. Eel...

My food looks more and more appetizing doesn't it? Steamed egg, soba and honey chicken.

My first movie here. Only watch movies here on Tuesday..its $9.50. On other days, whooping $15. The movie i saw? Snakes on a Plane. Don't ask me why i chose a B-grade movie, there's no other things to watch!!

The convertible that raced us to Mandurah for fishing. Its Honda, funny how i don't see Hondas like these in Singapore. I'm not impressed with sitting in a sports car though. Too low to get in and out, too chilly, too much dirt. hahhaaa...

Dolphins

Did i mention we saw dolphins in the river? Now, you would think how can there be dolphins in the river! I suppose river in a Singaporean's mind is small and narrow, but here it's wide and leads up to the sea.

I'm curious if the river tastes salty though. We went fishing in Mandurah, and boy was it a bad idea. Swarming mosquitos!!!!

It was so dark , it was kinda scary. I keep imagining some sea monster appearing, lurking in the dark waters. I asked my friends what would they do if Loch Ness suddenly appears.

" Take a picture and sell."

"Catch it."

"Throw Desmond in".

We caught 3 or 4 fishes in a 2 hour span, took us 1 hour to get there. Considering big fishes, consisted a flat fish. The boys enjoyed, i suppose. Not us girls...i had to pee urgently in the wilderness...couldnt find a toilet. But my girlfriend wouldnt dare, so after i relieved myself, i walked on with her to find a toilet...and just 3 minutes away, there is one!!!

@#*#^@*#^, luckily no insects bit me in the bush. Unlike when i was younger..got bitten by a stick insect!!

Learner's Permit

I passed my basic theory test on the first try with 29/30. Its much better than Singapore because they actually tell you the score, and the online practice test tells you where you gone wrong and why. Singapore doesn't, and tell me..how will we ever get better?

So now i can hang a L plate on the car, get someone with 4 or more years of experience and i can drive. I haven't had my first lesson yet, cause at every chance i see possibility, the boyfriend will say, " Aiyar..getting dark lah. Dangerous." "Aiyar..too many cars lah. Dangerous." "Aiyar..in a rush lah. Dangerous."

I think he's scared. Never mind, i'm going to work this out on my own. Don't want to become an incessant nag. Thanks for the nutrition tips, i need to get my diet in order now, and stop being so lazy..i need to really drag myself to running. When its not that difficult at all in Singapore. And i need to reeeeally STOP myself from eating all the time. When its not that difficult at all in Singapore. Singapore, sure is a food paradise, but i doubt i'll get fat there. But here, food is your only comfort. Gosh, i better get myself back on track.

Next week, i will run every morning at 8am. Finish all my studying and projects before mum and Ivan visits. Eat my dinner before work, and DO NOT eat the food from the restaurant after 9pm. But that leaves me to keeping the food for tommorow, you know. So which gives? Wasting food, or eat bacteria food the next day OR get fat eating late night food.

Its getting routine...

8.30am: wake up, go church
12pm: Visit Canning Vale market where meat go as low as $1.99 per Kg, you eat till you SCARED.
2pm: Lunch, a once a week treat. The boyfriend insists
3pm: Visit supermarket
5pm: Laze till bed time

Can you believe that? We LAZEEEED that long. I told the boyfriend, we can't do this. We should go find some places to go, some parks, go picnic, whatever..but not waste time lazing.

On the other note, yesterday was fantastic at work. When its busy, you see team work and that's just so cool. Even the guy i used to detest, i don't detest so much now. On the not-so-busy days you see, the detestable guy will snatch and jump at EVERY opportunity to do some work. Very kiasu, and trying to curry favour. And because he is so jumpy, he always knocks into me!! My wrist's getting stronger at carrying plates, buy my hands are getting rougher too. Moisturize, moisturize, i'm not married yet!!

The lady boss was very pleased with us yesterday so we get to choose what we wanted to eat (yay, no more roast stuff!! I get to choose mee goreng (but NOTHING like singapore style), and today i have crispy beef and some other meat throw in by her for lunch. We even had snacks after our shift, and whoopee..ice peach tea ($3 a bottle k. Soft drinks are NOT cheap here).

Spring is coming, i see birds chirping through my windows. The flies are getting out, found a bee in my room.

Yes, you work out quite a bit, but you put on just as much being in a restuarant. No, i do not pinch the food. But looking at what the customers are eating ignite my cravings!! Like, i immediately went to get spring rolls after seeing tables and tables and tables ordering that. And now i have craving for ice-cream cause lately i've been scooping them out for orders and i like making ice kachang!! Doesnt help that the supermarket next to the restaurant closes at 10pm, plenty of time for me after my shift. Darn.
