World's No.1 pizza.

Mum says i've lost weight. How can i when i've been eating things like the WORLD"S NUMBER ONE PIZZA in the world?! And that was found on the outskirts of Perth (1 hour plus drive). Apparantly they won international awards etc. So it was a definite must try since i am here.
This very cool polaraid was taken last week. I know why i probably is slimmer. Because i absolutely have no time to take a breather. School, work, school, cook dinner, wash, do housework, work, school, work, cook dinner, do housework. It is in that manner.

But of course, if mummy comes....everything else shall have to revolve around her. And i welcome that!! I miss home.

We had TUNA MORNAY
Cream, tuna, breadcrumbs, corn, parmesan cheese, onion, parsley, mozzarella cheese.
and
CHICKEN SATAY
Satay sauce, cheese, onion, capsicum, mushroom, chicken. These were award winning ones.

End of the day, pizza is still pizza...BUT..the dessert is fantastic!

MUDHONEY
Chocolate mudcake On pizza base.
Honey icing sugar, chocolate buttons and chocolate sauce.

Total cost for the night was: $28.

This is crazy...

Yesterday, we celebrated my ex flat mate's 21st Birthday. I didnt take the aftermath of the flat, but its crazy...smashed cake was ALL OVER. The floors, the cushions etc. Thankfully, i am no longer living there. Good luck to the tenants who's going to clean up.

You wonder why in the world will the people who's living there want to have a cake fight when they know they will be the ones cleaning up later. But then you conclude, this is what spontaneous fun is. Otherwise, you are just a rigid boring old fart.

Angela got caked worse than me.

I ran, we ran out of the house when the cake fight started. Only to be tricked back into the house, and got smashed. I swear i was ready to kick the 2 boys' balls when they smeared me with cake. But i controlled the urge, because i know it would just be sooo bad to have their balls kicked. So i let them smear cake on me. I had my hand on one of the guy's neck already, ready to kick. Well, the guy was short.

The two veeeeery naughty school boys.

News on BBC

Most interesting picture of the day at Caversham Wildlife Park!

Inspiration from...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/nol/ukfs_news/hi/newsid_4740000/newsid_4748200/4748292.stm

A Sudanese man has been forced to take a goat as his "wife", after he was caught having xxx with the animal.

Noah's Ark

I like to see animals in pairs. Its just so loving...it seems like Mrs.Goat has her head leaning on Mr.Goat's shoulder.

I love my canon camera, which i got it free, courtesy of Canon which is great! That, i will tell another day.
The boyfriend was somewhere chasing ducks, so i had to take a self shot. Mr. Goat was rather cooperative.

This thing is as tall as the boyfriend. I asked the boyfriend to take a face-to-face shot with the thing. And this is the look he gave. He is scared!! The hilarious moment came when he went to pat the thing in another enclosure (not this one in the picture), he got SPAT ON!! Luckily it wasnt puke or mucus, just some grass and hay that the thing possibly breathed out. It pays to be short.

The hill billy.
I was scared because the two of them are closing onto me. The white thing, just kept coming onto me. I am just afraid there will be a stampede..jumanji!

Looks are deceiving, its fur is actually spikey! I remember when i first came to Perth when i was young, my dad bought me a wormbat toy! The toy feels exactly the same! Rough fur. And i thought the toy is made of bad quality fur. But i think the toy went rough because i gave it a bath.

When we just stepped in the kangaroo enclosure, we saw ONE tiny white kangaroo, and the boyfriend said maybe its a baby, so its white. And i took hundreds of snaps of it, cause i thought its a rare breed, and there's only one! Little did we know, there were PLENTY of white kangaroos within.
I dont know why the boyfriend always likes to strangle me when we take pictures together.

White peacocks! Its as if this is a magical land, i never knew white peacocks and white kangaroos existed.

They are all fed so much by all the visitors (cause animal food is free of charge), they just laze around.

Heavily edited. The shot it would have been.

This is my pumpkin soup. Bless my landlord for first introducing me to his office to be the stand-in receptionist. Cause now the manager is going on leave, and they called me back to relieve! Woohoo, another thousand plus dollars to earn for ten days! That would already have covered the cost of my car :)

I drove for an hour to get to this wildlife park, and i must say driving is quite a monotonous thing! And my leg gets tired! Kudos to Dad who always takes us into Malaysia and holidays where he just drives on and on and on. Now, there will be someone else to help share the trips with him :)

Peace restored.

i woke up one morning to see the Japanese packing, she is moving out. So i asked who is helping her to move (she is moving to a one person apartment in the city, good for her), she said she called a maxi cab. At that moment, i wanted to offer to help her move with my car. Because at that moment, i could understand what she is like. She's just like me. No one to depend on. Buuuut...the city...i am not confident driving there (alot of one way streets), and my intuition seems to only serve me well when i am alone.

So i helped her carry her things onto the driveway and helped her load the taxi, and then bring in her stuff again when the taxi couldnt fit all in. I think she was touched.

And if i did send her with my car, i think she will cry.

Loser

Last Saturday, i went to the city by myself in my car. I thought of taking the bus, but it was so early in the morning, and i was lazy. I wanted to take the bus because i think its freaky driving to the city (so much busier), and i still do think its scary. But..i managed to find where i wanted to go without getting lost (seriously, i think my sense of direction and intuition is very spot-on), and i managed to park without needing to pay (usually, parking costs $2 half an hour in the city) and i got to do what i needed to do (a mystery shopping assignment at 8am).

So yes, the car has enabled me to do so many more mystery shopper assignments ( i basically get paid a small fee and reimbursement for purchases to assess the client's service, product etc.) So for this month, i earned $100 just by doing such. If without the car, i wouldnt bother to go through the trouble of doing these assignments because the small fee they pay is simply not worth the effort. Doing such mystery shopper does help me understand my course of study better, and no, it wasnt the school who put me on such a progamme. I found it myself online, but also course i did such in Singapore as well. And i remember it being a world wide thing, so i searched for the Australia's office and signed up! So far, i have rented movies, ate and bought things at the post and supermarkets for free.

But of course, even with the car, you still got to do your planning carefully. I only do the assignments which are within the vinicity or i happen to be there or rather, planned to be there anyway. Otherwise not worth the petrol too. Petrol prices are sky rocketing, and the news says its because of Singapore. Now, where's the link?

So, on the freeway to the city, the speed limit is 100km/hr. But i went at 80km/hr,and so everyone was overtaking me and zooming past me. I feel so loser...haha..but i take my Dad's advice seriously. But the bf said before, slow drivers are actually hazardous too. Said women are dangerous drivers because they take too long to decide what next. I agree, because my examiner said to me there's a difference between cautious and overly cautious.

I am now enjoying my pumpkin soup, the organic pack i got from the supermarket. Pumpkin and ginger, good for cold weather. It tastes good, but erm, i am not sure if the nutrients are still there, since its cooked then refridgerated and then i heat it up before eating. But it's a quick meal...and you feel healthy. Besides, most restuarants do it this way too, they use pre packed soups etc.

This semester i'm doing so much more, we play badminton almost every Saturday (courts are $13 per hour!!), this Saturday i am going to a wild life park, and the next, Sky Diving!!!

So right now, i got to finish up all my school work first. I am a good girl, work first then play ;p

Mummy should come now, i can drive her around!

P.S a dish washer actually earns 70K a year!! But your work place will be up north, that is like far far away from "civilisation" but 70K!! You don't even need IQ to load a dish washer.

I am quite a baker..

Ta da..this arrived in the mail.

Penguin Island, quite like our Pulau Ubin except this is MUCH smaller. We wanted to snorkel (i brought my own gear from the days of Tioman) but erm..there wasnt anything in the seas....disappointed. The brochure said we could snorkel! The island stinks of seagulls and the entire bridge covered with their droppings. We saw huge pelicans nesting though.

Corals...
The main attraction of the island...are these little things. I didnt pay admission fee, i snuck in. Hahahaahahaa....
When the boyfriend saw, he asked "You buy one ar?" "Of course not." I said. He said, " I thought so too. Cause if buy one, the kiwi fruit where got so many BIG slices and put until so ugly."

Spartan!

Was Ivan able to watch? Did it pass the censor board? I realise Singapore really is opening up. 300 is one of the best shows so far, haven't watched such a good show in a long time. Made me miss my job :(

Anyway, God bless daddy and the car. It's been a blast driving around and i can accomplish so much more things in a day now! I am amazed how my parking can be so accurate nowadays too. Perhaps its the practise and oh well, yes the parking lots here are super wide.

I think driving here and in Singapore will be very different. Here, the people tend to be less rushed, thus giving way and less hurried. I always manage to change lanes like a pro, but in Singapore, i often see drivers glancing back and forth, waiting for an opportunity.

We went to Penguin Island today...but what a disappointment. We wanted to do the Safari Kayak..where you kayak out to see wild seals, sealions and dolphins. But erm, when we got there, the woman told us the brochures got printed before they could acquire such licenses to conduct such tours. !!!??!!??!!

Cake of Love

I once saw a silly chinese movie titled TIRAMISU starring Nicholas Tse. At the end of the movie, i don't get what the entire thing was about except that Tiramisu is a cake of love or something like that. So i made this, and gave out to my neighbours and house mate. You can see the boyfriend's hand by the corner, can't wait to try it out because it looks gorgeous, doesnt it?

You cant see it, but its dusted with milo powder all over! Everyone was tickled by my green agar agar easter egg which i gave out recently. That's mother's recipe.

Its only in Perth, you have time and resources to do all these things.

Broken tail Light

I am so proud of myself. I needed to get certain things fixed on my car, but had to wait for my friend to contact her mechanic ( don't understand why she cant give me his number. So secretive. But i guess its cause its a personal thing, and he only does such on weekends). I got tired of waiting (although i only rightfully got my car on friday), so i started asking around and my house mate's boyfriend suggested that i look for the parts i need at junkyards then finding someone to fix it in (its cheaper this way too). To validate the "cheaper this way", i went to the BP garage near my place to get a quote. He fixed my seat belt FOC (apparantly, all he needed to do was push it in, silly me) and quoted me $260 for the broken tail light. So i called numerous junk yards, finally found one having the bit i needed. I also asked the BP garage guy to teach me what to do with the engine oil, coolant, water and whatever liquid the car needs.

Then the boyfriend had school, and if i waited, the junkyard would have been closed. So, based on vague memory and rough guides...i found the junk yard ALL BY MYSELF!! I didnt even need to ask anyone for directions!

But i got bullied by this ang moh in his huge 4WD. He wouldn't give way!!

So i happily got the part i need for $160 and then was faced with another feat of finding my way home. Because i had to go round and round the industrial park looking for my junkyard, i lost my sense of direction. So i didnt exit the way i came in from. I did find my way home eventually, it got abit nerve wrecking at one stage because i was nearing the expressway already. And if i hadnt made a quick decision of what's next, i really wouldnt know where i will end up. And its going to be super hilarious if i had to call the boyfriend and say "I'm lost."

DId i say i am proud of myself?

Big girl now.

You spend two thousand in Singapore for a license. Here, its a license AND a car.

Its really old, but interior's clean and engine's good. Just that there are imperfections here and there, which i have to get it fixed. But otherwise pray that i wont be stopped for driving an old car, then it will be pretty cruisy. (Its so contradicting here, they allow old cars t o be bought and sold but they are now trying to get old cars off the roads by slapping them with a defect sticker. Which is totally unreasonable.)

Fuel prices are increasing now too, so this car is really just going to be used for rainy days. I am still a simple girl, walking and taking the bus is good for me. Except the days when i do my groceries, and going to work further away, the car will be dandy. Couple of times, i arrived at work late because the bus didnt come on time! I still havent drove to the city yet, no guts. The streets are too busy and aggressive.
I had to find a nice pouch for the loose change and petrol discount coupons!

Its actually a sports car, in the 1980s. Haha.

My dinner's really delicious. These drumsticks taste better than KFC's!
